The PD7 floor plate was stripped back to its original structure and refurbished to a high level specification to create a state of the art clinical skills suite. The suite was designed to meet the learning needs of a variety of health professionals, with specialist equipment in purpose-built rooms. Students studying courses including nursing, physiotherapy and occupational therapy will use the facility.

PD7 was a strategic project within the context of the wider Portland Building refurbishment at Leeds Metropolitan University. The project comprised infrastructure renewals to the boiler room and three service risers over ten floors. This project facilitated the future refurbishment of all other floors.
