The Calverley building is a 1960’s precast concrete frame building on the Universities city centre campus. The ten storey building is bound by third party sites and is linked to the adjacent Portland building. The project is a logistically complex refurbishment comprising: phased decant, concrete repair and refurbishment, replacement windows, asbestos removal, new roof coverings and insulated render at lower levels.

The 10 floors are being stripped back to structure and refurbished as the project works its way from top to bottom in sections, 3 floors at a time. Each floor shall receive a bespoke office fit-out with natural ventilation and LED lighting. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2014.
